Speaker Switching for Zoom Rooms

Last Updated :

Overview

Zoom Rooms speaker switching is designed for a triple-screen conference room with a single row of seats up to 6. It delivers a natural and immersive collaboration experience, improving participant engagement even when remote attendees are thousands of miles away.

The solution detects the active speaker and automatically switches the view, helping remote participants more easily follow the discussion or conversation, and be more engaged. Three different camera angles work in tandem with the Zoom Rooms software along with three microphones that detect which side is speaking. The Zoom Room switches between camera views based on the microphone activity. If no one is speaking, the service automatically applies the full panoramic view to include all participants in the room.

The solution consists of one Jabra PanaCast camera and three MXL microphones. They work seamlessly with Zoom Rooms to create a more dynamic and intuitive video collaboration experience.

The three different camera angles work in tandem with the Zoom Rooms software along with three microphones that detect which side is speaking. Then Zoom Rooms software switches between camera views based on the microphone activity. If no one is speaking, the service automatically applies the full panoramic view to include all participants in the room.

Speaker Switching takes the existing Zoom Rooms capabilities one step further to deliver a video conferencing experience that is even closer to in-person meetings.
